Coach Bass is entering his 4rd year as a high school coach. Coach Bass started his coaching career in Gardner at Pioneer Ridge Middle School; in his first years of coaching at the high school Coach Bass coached the freshman defense, varsity interior d-line ,the JV defense and coaching the varsity inside linebackers. This year Coach Bass will be working with the freshman offense and the varsity o-line.

Coach Bass grew up in Dayton, Iowa and attended Southeast Webster High School where he graduated in 1989 as a 4 sport athlete competing in football, baseball, basketball and golf. Coach Bass was an all-conference selection in football, basketball and baseball. In high school Coach Bass played on both sides of the ball as a defensive back, quarterback and punter.  Coach Bass still holds his high school record for most interceptions in a season and career. Coach Bass was also selected as an all-state as a shortstop in baseball.

 Coach Bass was married to his wife Sue on July 3, 1993 and they have 2 children: Kylie who is a soph.  this year and Zach who is a 8th grader at Pioneer Ridge, Zach enjoys being one of the ball boys on Friday nights and Kylie loves to cheer on the Blazers every Friday night. Sue works with autism children at the KCBA in Olathe. They have lived in Gardner for 14 years and love to cheer on the Blazers every Friday night!
